This is my friend Luigi he is a 13lb male harpy eagle from the amazon jungle. His talons are the size of a grizzly bear's claws and he is quite friendly. He lives at the peregrine fund here in Idaho. I do a lot of raptor rehab with my friend Cathy they are such beautiful birds I will try to post more photos. As all people prob know all birds of prey are protected I do not own these birds they belong to nonprofit organizations for education. Hawk owl eagle osprey vulture and falcon products are all protected by law only a federal native can aquire such items and they MUST be govnt issued even if you have a Federal card you can't just go pick them up off the ground.... funny last time I checked you didn't have to be from india to be hindi and you didn't have to be white to be christian (i mean that with the most respect) I just don't understand how the freedom of religion is not so free here in America Attachments:

Oh that yellow blue blob is a stuffed animal I gave to him which he happily shredded all over his chamber within about 4 minutes. I gave it to him and his talons went right through the stuffing on the first grasp talk about sharp he is a real sweetie though!

I know..but I dont/wont/wouldnt use eagle feathers mostly what you see here are turkey feathers that have been dyed. As time goes by I become more and more militant with regards to federal recognition, federal intrusion, federal dictates. I am what I am. I dont want or need their stamp of approval. dohi tali oodiyvli

Si-Yo family, good to see you here and sharing other life styles. Something is wrong when the bureaucracy says they own the things that belong to the great spirit, but we can look at it. These great birds are not food, accept the vegie turkey. They are symbols. The Harpy Eagle is truley handsome and a useful part of the Great Spirits kingdom. Thank-you for sharing.

Awesome. I love feathered friends, I proudly own 6 parrots. I worked on a golf.course. and watched a family of bald eagles for 12yrs. I watched s youngster try to catch a rainbow trout. Anad failed all day I caught one ad he watched from a pine tree I showed him the fish, layer it on the ground,I left and returned a hour later and the only thing he left was the bones. He then the next few days caught his own. He watched me very intensely and leearned to fish. Awesome birds
