To answer your question graybear, it depends on how deep the damage to the foundation reall is. Not the confusion caused by the smoke stains, not the lack of visitation, but to the actual EARTH it sits upon. If she is dead, then YES you must tear it all down. You must rebulid from the ground up if need be. Many peoples have done just that. Celts became the irish of today, Romans became the italy, greece of today and the Vikings (Norsmen) have become greenland, iceland, sweeden and finland of today. All rebulit their ways of life because of being Conquered, destroyed. We find ourselves placing so much into the old ways and that is a great thing, but peote and Loco weed will not MAKE the way anymore, it can perhaps give you the sight to the path you must bulid. We get caught up in making sure our grandchildren move in the right way, have the right colors of the feathers, wear the right style of deerskin for the proper dance. Perhaps more on basics with allowance of their desires to enhance the prayer dance or cleansing ways. To much disipline in the wrong areas. Drives the young ones away. EXAMPLE: The old ones danced and preyed to win a fight, yet history shows they lost. Young ones see this as failure in the old way of doing things. When they are not allowed to enhance tradition, they say "What's the use, our history tells it all. We are simply spiting in the wind. It's great for tourists". New ideas and ways beget new Traditions. Old power with New Determination is what is needed. Too much forced submission creates resentment. In the old ways, they would have challenged for that position. But in todays world unaceptable. So they are left with one thing....Defiance or simply LEAVE. YES they must learn rules, order of power. But how when the ones in control do not have honor, truth theirselves? We are still fighting the old ways amoung ourselves for the best hunting lands to the strongest tribes...... when they do not exsist anymore. Now we fight over BLOOD LINES and Tradition. Hatfeilds and Macoys. 100 years they killed eachother untill finally a man and a woman from each side married and the families came together and could not even remember what cause the fued. It reminds me of the Blacks who kill each other over their HOODs, when the hoods are GOVERNMENT OWNED HOUSING. Not theirs or will it ever be.............Do all the tribes remember why they hate one another? How it all started?? So where is the Damage?

Si Yo seeker... I look and think what I see, is that the young don't care about their heritage, Having a few illegal drugs some young girls getting High, free hand out. They can stack up 20 deep in a small house until they're kicked out and everyday is party day. When you have a young lawyer Like the young Wilson girl up near the Sioux. She bring up legal point after legal point and is ignord. But she makes one speech where she said that the native was going to have to buy a gun go take a piece of land and defend it and all the power of the bureaucracy came down on her in one swoop. The native American has a difficult time being heard. Paris Hilton or Madonna did something very important today, like broke a finger nail, and who cares if the crow nation is starving or freezing to death, a company in Spain want their property to put wind mill generators on, so its better if they die so all of society can have the electricity to play their video games with. Things are way out of balance. I heard a story from long ago. A story about aChiracahua girl. she went to Fry, Arizona at Ft Huachuca with a pony for supplies. The clever Army decided they would follow her when she returned to the Apache camp. so when all the supplies were loaded and paid for, The Buffalo soldiers mounted up and followed at what they considerd a safe distance not to be seen. She went North into the Whetstone Mountains and the troopers knew they were about to go into some questionable country, but like all good soldiers they did as they were told. They were ambushed, by design and no-one went back to the camp. And no one knows what band of Apache was waiting there. But the Apache had more horses to eat, more guns, more yellow bandanas but you don't find those stories in history books. Its very important that No one get the idea that people like Geronamo was there and fooled the Army over and over. Like you said he was a student of human nature. He watched them, knew their strength and their weakness and played upon them. But todays bureaucracy has weapons and powers greater then a Geronamo can even guess at. Now all Native hearts need to go to one state. Like Oregon where there are good living conditions, they need to be a part of a plan and register to vote. They need to vote in the native heart people that will pass laws that give them power and authority, and get rid of the new world order people that only want slave labor and no one else. They need to make it legal to hunt, legal to fish, legal to grow a garden and have a milk cow and raise chickens Only last week I saw 17 acres for sale that the owner was willing to take offers on (17 acres) was willing to handle the contract. 17 acres of timber. so I checked into it with Douglas county... That 17 acres has so many different zonings and overrides on it, you cannot build a road to it accept as approved by the U.S. Forest Service, You cannot get a building permit for it and septic tanks are not allowed and there is no electricity and none comming, the only access is by river. So the best you could do is have a pontoon boat made into a house boat, self contained and tie it up to its own pier. Now thats how stupid the bureaucracy is becoming. Its in a tide zone with three eagles nest....near by. But the county know that Roseburg Lumber company will want those trees for lumber when the economy starts up again. And the county offices know there will be a reward if that timber is available later when the owner stops paying the property tax and The lumber company can have it for the value of the back taxes. the greed factor is constant but how do you work around those county officials, next you have state officials then Federal officials and all of them have made regulations that fit there time and need . so the only thing left is to put in a new governing body, with strength and wisdom to call upon the old laws ( like Montana is doing now) and watch the soft under belly of the serpants as they crawl in their hole. But its not so easy to get folks to stand for one idea and come by numbers to take over a place. So we have to watch until they must do something or die....then maybe there will besome that want to try. I don't think we have long to wait..... gray bear

Do-e-u GreayBear, but listien to your words....She is sa-wu. We have been like this for a hundred years. Where are our u ones? Why have we not formed the same types of groups as the Blacks, Mexicains, Asains? u-wa-sa they laugh, say it is weak. Only together will we be herd. Look at the Latins. No one listiened until they became powerful by using the a-ye-li-u-do-tlv-sv to acheive legal positions, power. Where are our political representitives? We have bult nothing. The blacks have done this with many groups from Republicain Black Caucus, to the NWACP. Latinos have have gained recognicition only because they used free education and money to educate and create their respect. LaRAZA, MECCA, etc. To say nothing of the Latino Governors, mayors, senators, etc. Look at all the schools in the west cost and you will see 80-90% LATINO.Where are the Nations representivies? The same free monies are there for our explotation as well. Our representivies are hoop dancing and painting feathers on the res. Failed because of what? Our own lack of a real single u-la-gu. Again, no unity, not willing to change what we call our pride and change from being the easily watched Buffalo to the cunning RattleSnake. EXAMPLE: Did the Government not hear the combined cries of our Nation when we were asking for CASINOS with LIQUOR LICENSES? Yet they refuse to her a single lawyer. What does this teach us? In the past NOTHING. They hear the CASINO because they prosper, we know this. So we must USE this to our advantage, not try to envoke old treaties with sa-wu female attorny. For generations we have wasted our selves with pity and acceptance of hand outs. It has rotted our young from within. If we do not inspire the young ones, who will? We need to handle our proplems ourselves on our e-hu and stop the infiltration of negative infulence. Local law not government law. Stop the corruptive ways of european religious influence. This makes for Control. It makes Sheep out of wa-ya. The government ties up land in every way possible so they can allow companies to make money and line their pockets with kick backs. I too lost $4,000 on a deal in New Mexico because of the local county. However I must say then my wifes friend (female Navaho / Latin) of 20 yrs and her husband Souix and Latin SCREWD us out of the Land. After I went on my da-na-wa-nv-ne-hi he recived a good old butt stomping. Point is screwed by your own AGAIN. We will NEVER be reconized until we place our people in positions of power. No one can stop advancement of people who PLAY THE GAME. Playing the game is like hunting. You have do many things sometimes to get the end result you want. We need representation by many. look at the Tea Party movment. Laughed at util they united and now they have placed people in political locations. We need a u u-la-gu to form and unite the nations. We are not even discussing this type of stratagy among the tribes. Some tribes refuse to accept others because they are not Pure Blood. I ask you, why are we so blind? Why is confusion the way of life and acceptance of defeat and placement beneith all other human races? YES my a-gi-du-da was right I guess I do speak as thunder.........

Osiyo....You make many good points, bottom line is the situation of today may very well be messed up, but it is what it is. We must understand it and make use of what we can to achieve goals. The Tea Party was a good example of that. What happened with them just did not 'just happen', but was a well planned out event with much effort behind closed doors. It is that closed door effort that is not in place in the NA effort. Every detail needs to be looked at, evaluated and considered for effect. Then implemented with a plan and desired goal in sight. One of the first task, I would think is how the gain support or how to have a solid base of mass support. Who will be your target groups and how can they be approached? What carrots can be used?
Much to consider......MB

si-yo We need to target ni-ga-da. Elders are trapped in their ways of the old times. The begining when the ways of yu-ne-ga did not exsist. When the great spirits were in touch with us as a whole. We must stop relying on the spirts or God if you chose, to perform it all for us. They (spirits and God) gave us a brain for a reason and they will show the way if we ask, but we must DO. Work on one target area like the wolf pack when bringing down the Buffalo they go for the back of the leg. We must start with the v-ga-nu-we-u-we of all tribes. Then let the a-na-s-ga of each nation feel as if they are the power of their people. Let them quote the old ways and talk of how it was. Then show them how it is and has been through use of the ways. Show them the progress of our enemies and how they have done it. Give to them the task of producing the PRIDE of their people as they are to preserve in todays young. Have the a-na-s-ga show the POSITIVE influance and actions produced by adherance to our non unity of all Nations as 1. Have them show their people what they have acheived for them in the last 25 years. All I see are mobile homes without doors and windows, government cheese and reservation Bars. Show them how the change will benefit their stature among the people. They are beleived to be the a-ga-ta-na-i of all the Nation and if true they will see. The most important target are the younger generations as they are the a-ya-s-ti-gi for our nations. This must be taught that it must be accomplished by da-nu-wa but without the bow and arrow. Without blood shed. It must remain do-hi. This is a true warrior. PEACE to win the war. As long as we act as we do we will be considered second class humans. Rather on or off the res. Gallup N.M. is an example of negative apearance. The crime is ramped, the drugs, the alcohol abuse and physical abuse is horrible. The government watched this close and got their answer. As in the OLD ways, we need to POLICE our OWN. Take a new message of real pride to the younger ones. Make it rewardable by the Nations for the children who attend school and acheive in other things beside the a-ni-s-gi-na of yesterday. First teach the realities of the establishment and how to have a real voice. Then after teach to combine and not forget the ways of the old ones. It will not be fast or easy but nothing worth anything comes free, easy or without sacrifice. Carrots Mountain Bear? This is the problem. The Nations peoples have become single intities. Whats in it for me? instead of whats in it for the NATION. The carrots for some will be the respect, power, money and vanity amoung their peers. For the a-du-la-di' the u it will be fairness, a way of life of freedoms, back to the old ways with personal respect and earthly care. For the ones who are so angry, hateful and filled with memories of their losses at the hands of the europeans it will be........tsu-sa-si. The idea of 1 Nation can be presented to all of these individuals for their own desires. Let them seek what they want from it as long as the out come is the same. Then we can as a people of 1 Nation police our own with the rules established under that Nation. Controling the would be disruptance. Punishing the would be tratiors. The young would feel important, the Nation would have voice and power for their future and all could prospier if willing to apply ones self. RESPECT would bee seen by others based on the war without blood shed. Blacks won their rights in Selma Alabama without them sheding blood. It is the most remembered of their fights yet they were united as WARRIORS. Many had their own agendas in mind when fighting this battle, but they still fought for the cause. Drugs are everywhere not just the Res or amoung the Nations. It happens even in the most exspensive areas of the cities. All races. The old ways with a history of humiliation and defeat cannot hold Young, strong warriors. New ideas, new ways and a little respect can fix that. SHOW them. With knowledge of winnig. Combine old ways here, use the meetings and show the plan on deer hide. Use the speer and arrow as pointers and for movment of legal actions. Remember the Revolutionary war? When america broke from English rule? Know why we won that war? The Pawnee, the Cherokee and Mohawks taught us NOT to fight in a line, in the open fields standing toe to toe with the English. Instead to hide and a-ha-lu-na. When out numbered the Nations taught us to do this. IT worked, POINT: it was differant then what we had been doing and we were losing horrible until the Generals, washington, listiened to the People. The rest is History. At first some felt like cowards, but realized when winning how much better it was to live and see the new government. The base work in my opinion is to have the traditionalists understand that some form of modernization is needed to be added to their traditional ways. Rather have your daughter study about how to win in a court of law, then understand her place in spreading the race. Better have your son to see a way of thinking his way through the restrictions of laws by loop holes and legal knowledge than with knifes, drugs and jail. Better to understand the voice of todays government voice then the whispers of the trees in the night filled with old ones memories of stories long gone. There is and will always be a place for that. Those things are for the real u and the a-ga-ta-na-i. These things are only gotten through the positive, brave things we do in our lives. It is impossible to tell stores of failure to young ones over and over without changing pride to a-de-ho-hi-s-di. Even when they watch TV hollywood moves paint the NATIONS as savages. Less then human. I bet you not many young ones under 25 remember IRA HAYES and his great acheivments...The CARROTS are there Mouantain Bear, they just must be planted and nursed to Harvest.........................

Osiyo......Deep subject. If you could look at something like the tea party structure and methods flow charts, might could develop something to make things happen. I suspect a lot of resources are required to have a dynamic group like they had. They made things appear easy but to bring folks, buses, food and rooms plus pro made signs took some advanced time, resources and planning. Like the man said "just do it". Might be the only way.

si-to, Yea, it is something that must be planed for sure. It will take a little time as well. I know I seem like I am angry but NO im not. I just feel that in all of the USA the Nation(s) are the only people cheated and forgotten for out real being. With 2012 approaching the Hopi just might be right in their understanding of the change. As history has shown, change ocurs at a steady time frame and we are over due. The Government is in change as we speak and I hope it will be for the good. If we are still here after mother earth has her say, then perhaps we Human Beings can then seek out the equality we have been cheated from. I think it will be the Nation(s) whom show all others the way to survive. The ways to live and to plant. The Better way of life.

Osiyo It is perfectly OK to be angry about the situation, we all wear that hat from time to time. It is even OK to get fired up on a subject. The main thing is if you are a person who others rely on to do the thinking, planning and such it is easy in that mode to loose sight of what is required. There are all types of folks here on earth and the Creator made each and every one of them. Some are good at somethings, some are good at other things. It is our task to be able to understand which is which and how to achieve all of our goals and to satisfy their needs along the way.
Control the parameters and things go the desired way......MB

Si-Yo Seeker....I've been disorganized for a few days and haven't had a chance to even look at this computer...I have another one in a different room that is an art program. I make a line of greeting cards called 'Sneezin Geezer' Greeting card company. and have a rack in the store where I sell them and just a few days ago I got an order for several card...On a printer that is spendy, but if I'm ever going to get them on the market...thats the way I'll have to do it for awhile. It a slow process, then I have to fold them and trim them. Its funny how my art work has gotten smaller and smaller until now its a 4"x9" card with a business envelope..... Now I can make a lot of it because I can save it on the PC and reproduce it at random, I used to do one at a time and had to pay 40% to sell it in a gallery. Get fussed on because I couldn't get far enough ahead, but at the time I had a motel in Tombstone, Arizona. So started selling out of the office when I had time to make something. Now I'm old and ready to go and I have time to do such things....hard to get a break sometimes. Its interesting you mentioned the"Ghost Dance" and making it against the rules. The same thing happened to the northern Scotts, with there Kilts and Pipes. In Arizona havinf a pair of nun-chukka's is the same class of felony as having a bomb in your posession. I bet if we put together a collection of those rules in a book a lot of places would look pretty foolish for their paranoias. Californian's can't have knives with two cutting edges or switch blade knives, so the only person's that have them are the people most apt to use them and everyone else is left running as if the law protected any-one. I really think that the rich man has focused on Ndn groups to make unlawful drugs more easily available. Worse they seem to be welcomed with open arms and have little care of the ancient heritage. I wonder if todays people could be a part of the old Ghost dance when the ancestors spirits could be asked for advice and wisdom. They don't seem to be very receptive to the spirit world. I know the dance can be danced but are the new people listening? My Grandmother only used short sayings in Cherokee, she was ashamed of her heritage because of the way the Nation was formed by the political bureaucracy of the time. Had nothing to do with the blood. But it was Cherokee blood that helped the rich mans bureaucracy take her fathers land for oil and there was no appeal. So the United Cherokee Nation has better blood and a better heart then the Official Nation that belongs to the whiteman. Seeker, look for us on JustGina and Mountain Bears new member sites to. sooner or later we will get more real people to talk with us and the more people who talk the more apt we are to discover ourselves and out strengths. BBear has added some good word too. Listen to nature all around its beginning a new song, be aware until we know what it means. signing off for today..Graybear

si-yo greay Bear and Moutain Bear. It is true. Not many hear at all today. Only the voice of the drugs and the easy money for corruption. YES, my great great Grandmother and Great Grandmother spoke very quite when speaking their own language. Not so much my e-ni-si. He was soft spoken but the power and wisdom were heavy. Funny how today many e-da-di-tlu-nu-tsi beleive in UFO's but not in the a-ni-s-gi-na and the u-ne-qua. YES, the ways are changing and perhaps not for the best. The rich are crushing all rights and way of life. Soon we again, the young ones will be as before...a-tsi-na-tla-i to the other races. YES the wind whispers change and the animals show the panic. Im not sure if anything can be done to stop the mother from punishing her attackers. Maybe the time has come. I hope not, but ......I hope it will be do-hi. I am filled with e-e-e. I hope you both find the way tsv. Off for now..........

Si yo seeker..I was a watcher yesterday. We were under tsunami threat because of the quake in Japan. Now all the old people that lived here long time knew...when the timing of the tsunami wave was to get here...the tide was on its way out and would be at its lowest ebb. Everyone familiar with the deep sea fishing knows where the trip zone is that keeps tsunami waves from reaching our beach on the central coast. We knew what to expect....But the authorities had everyone vacate the area and go to high ground (?) I stayed up the hill about 2 hours, then came back to the store and just worked on the other computer making more attractive signs and making 'sneezin' geezer' greeting cards to fill in my rack. Didn't open and no one bothered me about it. There is something afoot when outside authority come in and press their logic against our knowledge. I didn't go where we were told to go I just went up the hill to a wide spot on a side road and waited, there was never a break in traffic so I know the whole exercise was a design to see how long people would do what they were told. I didn't see any of them because I went where I felt safe and thats never where your expected. Thats why so many wild geese got shot...they were always where they were expected to be. Well ,having put-up with a waisted day I have to get ready to try twice as hard today. So as the sun rises slowly in the East I go to prepare to meet the day. The bureaucracy is acting in a strange manner, be a little suspicious about any daily event that asks you to be somewhere at a specific time. Again, you seem to be correct in your observation that the rich are making a push to change the life of all that are content to just live life. History repeating itself? Another day

O si yo littledove...Don't be confused by the adulterated bloodlines. Think what is in your heart. There is a lot of history behind our bloodlines and it can be classified, but some times fullblooded siblings can have different characteristics. I call them kick-backs. They sometimes show-up every second generation. To seek the past is a trail with many forks. Its good to make discoveries and feel as if you know your ancestor, but their time and ours are not the same. Some of us will come together as a new family, some will only find shame in knowing"We Are Here". History is written by conquerers, so its difficult to find a truth that you can follow. Always ask, seldom you will get an answer, but often you will make a new friend.
