GrayBear I am same age as you. What you mean at your age. I feel the same as 25 years ago. I just can’t tell who that old man is in my shaving mirror. Man, he looks bad, like he had been ridden hard and put away wet. I sure would not want to be him. LOL It looks like we are back to only you and I on this site……. I noticed the head position in the UCN Oregon Chapter is not filled. Why don’t you round up some support and reach for it. Might give you a way to use up that extra time you have. LOL Might not pay a lot but has a good title.
Thinking big……..MB

Si-yo Mountain Bear, was polking around the news sources, noticed this head line WorldNetDaily Exclusive Hawaii official now swears: No Obama birth certificate Signs affidavit declaring long-form, hospital-generated document absent --WND This has been a "Bone-of-contention"since before the elections. "POINT" Everything he does for or to the Ndn Nations or Conferations will have no authority. So any elation with having made headway with Treaty Evaluations is wasted. Not only is every-one go back to space one but it will be more complicated to start the next round. It would seem that the Obamanation has only had one task and that has been to put the Chicago Mobsters into more seats of authority. Thats going to hurt ! Mountain Bear, I think people in Oregon are so poor and so hooked on welfare that if a person was the leader of the organization....thats the same as being in charge of the boat docks at Cabin Lake north of Fort Rock, Oregon....and there hasn't been any water there for more then a thousand years. Its so dry even sagebrush won't grow there. I'm thinking I'm the only Oregon person thats a member. I introduced several people to the ideals and they thought it was a great idea.....if I paid for it ! And the UCN doesn't take food stamps....to bad they could probably use them to help people in need. My extra time, I spend 'wooing' a girl. She lives about 4and 1/2 hours away. Over near Bend Oregon but we have known each other for near 50 years....She was the little brat that kept stealing the baseball bat and we would have to chase her down and get the bat back. Back in the 50's. Her Mr. passed away about 3 years ago and I don't play baseball any more, so maybe she'll bring home some Louisville Sluggers from somebody elses game. Something like a Mickey Mantle 1958 model, autographed.....I'll have to teach her if they go clank there metal Just steal those to be a pest. Think collectable...go wood ! We went to school together I graduated three years ahead of her, same school. In one of those Oregon places thats not on a map(No Post office)We both lived in places that aren't on the map. We both grew up on a ranch. Ours was 50 miles from theirs. We had cattle on 1500 acres, they had a small dairy and raised spring stock for auction on 250 acres. But we both got well aquainted with a shovel, if you know what I mean. So we talk the same talk. I saw where we had picked up a new member a couple days ago but didn't find no Howdy's didn't leave a welcome, because I'm not sure she knows we have this forum to read. Anywho, I want to do some more looking to see what else is going on, in this ol' world, so catch up to you later...... another day Mountain Bear

Osiyo, GrayBear I don’t see where his birth certificate makes any differences, his mother was a US citizen. If there existed an issue it needed to be addressed long before he was grown. What are we to do? Deport him, to what country. Everyone just needs to get over it. His father was in this country with diplomatic status , as such he could have gone back to the home country and been a citizen. That did not happen. Not having a crowd in the UCN Oregon Clan will give you the flexibility to bring in folks who are more like minded. Sort of have it your way. I am not sure how many folks are needed, not much I suspect. Might be worthwhile either way will be work. Better be careful, you know ‘wooing’ is for young folks. You know the CN in OK has satellite groups scattered around. Several in Ca. they allow non citizens with Cherokee heritage to join. They keep the numbers below 40% non citizens. The difference is...if he was not born here and his father was from one of the African nations and if he was born in that nation. He's not an american citizen, can't legally be President and anything he does for the Nations or Confederated tribes will have no standing. The time and money that goes into an act to rectify a wrong will become null and void. He can go back to the African Country he came from, so can Opra Winfrey...ask her why she won't go, she wasn't about to live under those conditions nor will Obama....but the rich man will be glad to saddle Obama with all the ills and let him carry them off into history and the nations will have nothing and no money to pusue the original intent. Its very important and the leadership of the nations and confederated tribes should make this a priority before giving away anymore. Because a lady says she's with the girl scouts and is collecting on their behalf organization doesn't mean she is, she may have a ulterial motive, that has nothing to do with the girl scouts. The same could be true of Obama. I just hate seeing the Ndn leadership being lied to again, trusting in false words and losing this time maybe forever. As long as there is a doubt and no proof of citizenship there should be a small print that says if he is found to be unqualified all agreements are off and its back to square one with-out penalty to the Ndn leadership. There is way to much effort being put forth to obliterate the knowledge of indigenous people, causing history to gobble us up and making black and white just a soothing gray. If one reads the history books in the public schools, Roman and Greek history are a part of the 'western culture' but the introduction of the new world is just a mention of Thanksgiving day. There is a lot more to it and some cultures are lost forever even now. Sometimes I wonder what kind of power the Ndn would have if they would all stand together for something. Old mans dream...I see it going away more everyday. I'm getting to old to hunt and my sons are restricted to where and when they can hunt. the meat we buy in the market is full of chemical substance that is not healthy for humans. You cannot OWN property anymore, it belongs to the bureaucracy and if you don't pay they take it away. So raising your own animal is getting very complicated and restrictive. Soon no-one will have land, or avenue to pursue self preservation. At the moment only confederated tribes and nations hold land outside the jurisdiction of the bureaucracy. When that no longer available...What? I have a great-grand-son, he will never know what I have lived. My sons know but only one of them has a son, he don't know...not even how to catch a fish. My two Mescalero grandson know how to hunt and fish and catch crabs because I raised them to their mid teens, it will stay with them but will they teach their sons? will they be allowed to have sons? Mountain Bear I just wish I could see a small light at the end of the tunnel that would hint to me there is a tomorrow worthy of sending my bloodline to. Now as far as wooing goes....it may be for the young....but it makes me feel younger, even if she is far away. Talking to some-one far away is better then talking to no-one. specially when it is someone with the same memories from the same era, that remembers the same folks as were a part of my life and hers. Thats fun...and it takes my mind off from other things that are not so fun.... Another day Mountain Bear...

Whatever has passed and been voted on by Congress will stick regardless of what happens to Obama. It would take another vote by Congress to undo it. One on one gain made with any President is subject to be lost at every election. That may have its faults but it is what it is. Very few of the younger generations will ever know what it was like when we were young. I spent most of my time in the woods hunting and fishing. Hardly anyone gets to do that anymore, to much TV and video games. This is one of the things I came to realize after I retired and had time to stop and notice things. Wish we could know what was in store for us in the future, just do the best we can to equip the youngsters.
Have fun wooing.........MB

Si yo Mountain Bear...I had two children to care for yesterday. A brother 7 and a sister 11, got them early in the morning when there Mom dropped them off ( like 6:30 in the morning) on her way to work. Her boy friend came by last night and picked up the girl but I still have the boy. I think the mom will be by tonight and get the boy. I drew him some pictures to color so he's in the collection room coloring....monsters..... So I'm taking a minute to read my 'E' mail and let people know I didn't pass-on. Its amazing but this youngsters can still be going 40 when I'm ready for bed. Little guy stayed up until 10 last night. I was laying on the bed and told him he had to go to bed. I've got a collection of 1/64 scale semi-trucks. the were all over the house/store this morning. He does pretty good for a little fella that doesn't see much adult supervision. His mom says he always wants to come here but she tries to get her boy friend to watch the kiddo's. So I only have them a couple days a week...There was awhile I had them full time. I think thats another reason to find a wife....help me take care of other peoples kids :-) I haven't had a chance to read any news the last couple days so nothing to worry over, I guess Egypt can get along with-out my worrying or advice..... Until another day Mountain Bear Graybear signin' out....

I sent you a personal message....trying to be on the same time as you....when I came on i went to your profile, however by the time I sent it you had departed. In your profile is an option to send a message. No one else can view it and it is not public like these are. Good to have youngsters around, keeps a fellow alert. Hard to be an old fogey running after them.

Si-Yo Mountain Bear...I was reading some news today. I like to follow-up on articles that deal with the Sioux Nations, There the most difficult to fool. This paragraph tells a bigger story. As Indigenous Peoples rise up to fight oppression and the theft of their lands for mining and destruction around the world, the National Congress of American Indians in the US failed the people as its president rallied with the "Fat Takers," and the secrecy and assault at the Oglala Tribal Council exposed the US manufactured tribal councils. Read more articles at Censored News: www.bsnorrell.blogspot.com/ Thats the part thats getting more and more difficult to deal with, the Un and US are buying the"fat takers" recognizing their authority and making decisions about Ndn Land and minerals From the early 1900's until the early 1940's the President of the US would appoint a person to be Cherokee Chief for a day. The bureaucracy would have rights and property removed in a swish of a pen by one person being wined and dined for one day. Around 1938 the cherokee people elected ther own leader but the President didn't recognize that authority until near the end of the war. The UN and the US bureaucracies are related politically with the same goals, now...January 2011, you can see they are trying to buy there way into Sioux Land and minerals...by using "Fat Takers" willing to sell out their own blood for a 'make-believe-dollar, thats really has no value. Sure wish Ndn people would all stand against that type of politics, it will only make more indeginous people disappear for-ever. But the Sioux ar watching and they are labeling the people that would tread on them. There is a big push right now to tie up loose ends for the New World Order and that means convincing Ndn people that a seat in the UN is more important then haveing your own land and land rights. I just am going to have to stop finding this stuff. It made my Grandmother fret, my father fret now I fret and the rich get richer....Next life I'm going to be rich and famous....This Good Looking and Talented stuff just ain't worth it...:-) I still got little guy, I think his parents forgot what they did with him...funny he's a good little guy. Eats too much ice cream but I guess he's not the first....... Ol' Graybear signin' Off

Osiyo, GrayBear There is a lot of issues to becoming a separate nation with a seat on the UN. A lot of effort and resources will be consumed. My grandfather taught me, everyone has duties in life, those things he can change and to fret about those I can change, someone else will have to fret about the others. Still got the little guy, hope they remember him. I thought you were already rich and famous. You think I was wrong all this time. LOL..... What do you know about the Cherokee Nation's satellite groups? Looks like a new person has joined, WoodOwl, maybe he will post some.
Later.........MB

Si-yo Mountain Bear...Its good to see we have new words on 'general ' with the new JustGina' I hope we can get many days with a new voice with us. Maybe we will still get many voices. I had trouble with cable yesterday and this morning but I've got things cookin' today. So I'll catch up. Little guy went home last night about 7 in the evening...I have a girl coming to visit me this week-end. I'm looking forward to that. We've been friends for more then 50 years and she has a very mischeivious personality. I'm a stick-in-the-mud personality. way to serious guy So maybe she can pull me up out of this hole I live in and make me lighten up a little. She lives up in Bend so you know she enjoys the coast because its a 3 and 1/2 hours drive down here. She originally grew up in these mountains, the same as I did. Her Grandparents use to own the store at Nashville, Oregon (not on the map anymore)They owned the ball field too.....Thats where we all got together in the summer time. To play ball....she was the mean little girl that kept running off with the baseball bat ! Anywho got a few things to do this morning so best get started.....Another day Mountain Bear.... i will keep watch for more words Graybear

Osiyo, GrayBear Glad to hear you both are OK, I have had some slowness on the Internet, blamed it on the weather. Some servers are slow. I was on a bit ago, got interrupted and just got back. Someday I want to try that chat out and see if it works, we both will need to be on at the same time. Just be yourself this weekend and all will go OK. She knows you well by this time. Like you I agree it is nice to see new members, hope they become active users.

Si-yo Mountain Bear..Well my friend has headed back over the mountains for the high-desert. We had a good visit, I had a chance to show her old photo's, she looked and looked and...... positively.....doesn't remember me. Luckily for me one of the girls she ran around with reminded her of occassions in school where we socialized. Diane can't figure out in her mind why she can remember both of my brothers but not me. Its really throws her when I describe things that happened when she was in grade school. She remembers the situation but has no idea, how I know. I think maybe because I'm so dark....she thought I was a shadow. But it was a good week-end and I reminded her of a few things that brought colour to her cheeks. 1962 was the last year I had seen her. So there was a lot of filling in to share. Anyway I can go back to hum-drum life and wait until she contacts me again. I'm sure she will because she like the coast and she can stay here for free and I buy all the meals, plus I will put my thinking cap on to remember some of the other mischief she was up to in school. I might have to call my brother. She was his girl friend 47 years ago. Maybe he will tell me something I can graft into one of my stories. Try to surprise her, maybe even 'pull-her-leg' a bit. Any way I have several sites to visit so I'm off and away to be up-dated....Another day !
